Steven S. DeKnight directs Pacific Rim Uprising, the sequel to the epic action-adventure Pacific Rim which Guillermo del Toro created in 2013. With a script penned by Zak Penn, Jon Spaights and Guillermo del Toro, Pacific Rim Uprising will introduce new characters and Jaegers as they combat an evolved Kaiju threat once again for Humanity's survival.

Bandai have released images of toys based on the new Kaiju monsters from the Pacific Rim sequel, Pacific Rim Uprising online! The images below reveal both the look and names of two of the film's antagonistic Kaiju

Shrikethorn

Kaiju

Hakuja

Kaiju

We're unsure what category of Kaiju these two are classified as, but it appears Shrikethorn could be the massive Kaiju witnessed at the end of the Pacific Rim Uprising trailer - making it the largest Kaiju in the franchise to date.

Pricing and release dates have yet to be revealed for these figures, but we expect them to hit shelves next year. As new details are released we'll be sure to keep you updated!

I'm tellin' ya'll.. Pac Rim would be the perfect place for Gamera to fit right in. These Kaiju look like they were inspired by Gamera foes in the 1960s.

I'm getting Heisei Gamera vibes from them tho, but yea, they do looked very Gamera-ish I guess. They looked very sick!

While I do really like these designs, it doesn't have the "Del Toro touch" that the first one had, from what I've seen in the trailers anyways.

sadly these look wayyy to cliche and they lack the personality that the OG Kaiju had, like knifehead and scunner etc. Hope the upcoming trailers and movie  can change my mind

I'm willing to give them a shot. Although I do agree the Kaiju in Pacific Rim did seem to have more character and unique design aspects.
